The Update!!

So this week has been kinda hectic.... a lot has happened on a personal front which i will soon go into....
This weeks Blog is gonna touch on the release of my BRAND NEW single " Here We Go Again", the radio show this Weds and the going ons with that....  Caribana.... which section i'll be going with and much more w/ Petra The Empress*

On a sad note, this has to be the first thing I mention, which is about the untimely murder of a family member, the day after Father's Day...... Unfortunatley my Uncle Grafton Hutchinson was murdered on the island of St.Vincent this week Monday June 20th, 2011 when someone tried to rob him...... Although I cannot disclose too much I do wanna say that we all love you very much and you will be greatly missed.... R.I.P.

On a happier note.... I released my BRAND NEW Single "Here We Go Again".... So far its getting GREAT reviews....from lots of DJs.... so PLEASE SUPPORT the track and lets continue to put good music back on the map!!1 Be sure to check it out below:

Here is a quick update for you all about the Represent Show this Weds on CHRY 105.5FM 7am-9am .... It was a great show, it being the last show for DJ Detek for 2 weeks as he is off to Cyprus (including Ayia Napa) , his home town to play some gigs....Wanna thnk ALL the callers for calling and showing there support.... our goal is to grow our show's listenership, locally, nationally and internationally..... thnks again for all y'all's support....and BIG up to the CHRY family!!!

So I have finally decided on which Caribana Section I will be going with which is...... drum roll please! lol....

Tribal Knights----Legends of the Orient!!!

Dun kno me and my girls cant wait.... we gon Mash it Down!!!! .... "Everybody take a jump, take a jump!!! lol..... So if you are going to the Caribana Parade on Lakeshore in Toronto July 30th, 2011....Holla!! Be sure to look out 4 us lol : )

Heat Wave!!! Finally! : )

Hey Everyone! How are you? Its me Petra The Empress!..... Just here to give a quick update of the weather here in Toronto and what happened this week, and on my radio show "Represent" on CHRY 105.5 FM every Weds 7am- 9am www.chry.fm ...plus how my week has been, what I've seen .... lol

I have to say people, especially for those here in Toronto, it has been  lovely.... feels like summer has finally kicked off!!! Although some days have been dreary the heat has been there and I soon put up my Air conditioning! lol .....Been spending a lot of time at the beaches and chillin with my peeps..... here's me inna de water! lol

This week we didn't have any guests in the studio, just me and Dj Detek.... we had good mixes, like some ole skool Garage, like Lonyo- Summer of love, Sweet Female Attitude, Danny Dubz, mixed in with some Funky House like my favourites Kyla- Daydreaming and Do You Mind, Meleka-Go and some Reggae mixed in with Funky and a Jungle fav Apache Indian and Shy Fx- Original Nuttah!!!! and lots of callers calling in with birthday requests, song requests and shout outs....Feel free to drop us a line in the studio anytime on Weds during our show at CHRY 105.5 FM on 416-736-5656 and check us out on the web at www.chry.fm ..... Also on another note, I've just started watching 'Braxton Family Values'.... New reality Tv show about Toni Braxton and her family, saw all the up to date episodes on a wonderful website called letmewatchthis.com.... All I can say is its like Real Housewives of Atlanta BUT BETTER!!! LOVIN IT.COM!!!LOL Tamar girl.... I see you!!! : )

Introduction to me!!!

From the moment, little Petra lined up her teddy bears and sang them old Motown songs at the tender age of 3, it was obvious that music was Petra’s calling and that a superstar was about to emerge. Having moved from the UK in 2003 with her family to a new life in Canada to complete her education, Petra saw an opportunity to follow her dreams and now is rated to be one of the Hottest, Talented Singers, Songwriters and Performers to bust out onto the music scene.

Petra The Empress has been involved in the entertainment industry for the past five years and has since then has built up a strong, solid fan base, constant hype and great reputation working with accomplished artists, bands and producers. As well as having an angelic voice that can seduce the masses, her bubbly and fun personality landed Petra the opportunity of hosting her own Radio show on CHRY 105.5 FM, called Represent that airs Every Wednesday morning from 7am-9am, where she plays UK RnB, Garage and Grime music. She also showcases the talents of international artists and has in the past interviewed Humble, Deborah Cox, Rebel Sound, Tanika Charles and many more.

In 2007, Petra signed with Qryptonik Records and has since debuted on the hit single ‘Butterfly’ with Janny Popps that has received airplay on many commercial, internet and college radio stations accross Canada , the U.S and overseas. The orginal and remix of this Butterfly single(in which Petra was featured) reached #1 for five consecutive weeks on New York’s WBLK 93.7 fm on two separate occasions. Also her recent project with reggae star Mr. Flowas on the song ‘Say That You Love Me’ has hurdled The Empress into the international market as the song has been gaining significant exposure in many countries such as the UK and Germany.

Currently, Petra has just released another smash single “Lead Me”, a follow up from her previous single “Only You”. With a style unlike any other, Petra has infused an eclectic sound of RnB, reggae, hip hop and soul with her signature vocals that has allowed her to stand out, but also bring something unique to the mainstream. Her elegant, polished and innovative style allows her to be noticed as a creative trendsetter.
